Hospital Policies
Northside Animal Hospital is a small animal general practice dedicated to the care and treatment of companion animals, including dogs, cats, rabbits, and other exotic pets. Patients are seen by scheduled appointments, and we make every effort to accommodate existing clients for urgent or emergency concerns as scheduling permits.
Our priority is to provide timely care for established patients who are current on recommended routine and preventive care during our regular business hours. While we strive to meet the needs of every patient, our schedule may not always align with a client’s availability or a patient’s immediate medical needs. In these situations, referral to one of our partner urgent care facilities or 24-hour emergency hospitals may be recommended to ensure prompt and appropriate care.
Zero Tolerance Policy
Northside Animal Hospital maintains a zero-tolerance policy regarding verbal or physical abuse, threatening behavior, profanity, harassment, or disruptive conduct directed toward any member of our staff. We are committed to fostering a safe, respectful, and professional environment for our team, clients, and patients. If you have a concern or issue you would like addressed, we kindly ask that you request to speak with a manager privately or contact us directly by phone or email. We believe that most concerns can be resolved through calm, respectful, and open communication. In support of this commitment, we proudly uphold our Kindness Pledge as outlined below:
Our Pledge to You
-
We pledge to lead our practice with kindness and compassion.
-
We will take responsibility for our actions and do our best to educate ourselves for the benefit of others.
-
We understand that in making everyone feel included, we will need to speak up but not over others.
-
We pledge to stand up against transphobia, homophobia, racism, ableism, sexism, and xenophobia.
Your Pledge to Northside Animal Hospital:
-
I promise to raise any concerns about the cost of my pet's care in a respectful manner with the Northside Animal Hospital clinic staff.
-
I will be respectful of my veterinarian and care team, and be mindful of the demands they face every day.

Cancellation Policy
We understand that unexpected emergencies and circumstances can arise, and if you are unable to provide advance notice, we ask that you contact us as soon as possible so we may discuss your situation. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to serve all of our clients effectively and provide the best possible care for every patient. If you have any questions regarding this policy, please feel free to contact our office at (603) 622-5299.
New Client Booking Fee
To help us maintain an efficient schedule and ensure that every patient receives the attention they deserve, we have implemented a booking fee that is equal to the cost of the examination. This booking fee will be applied towards the cost of your visit. It’s important to note that the booking fee will be forfeited if you cancel your appointment with less than 24 hours’ notice or in the case of a no-show. Additionally, please be aware that new clients who no-show or cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice more than one time will not be considered for future appointments.
Payment Policies
We require payment for all services immediately upon completion of the appointment or procedure. We accept several payment methods, including cash, credit cards, and debit cards. At this time, we are unable to accept American Express credit cards. Please note: All credit card transactions are subject to a 3% surcharge. There is no surcharge for cash, debit, CareCredit, or Scratch Pay transactions. We understand that unexpected veterinary expenses can arise. To assist our clients, we work with CareCredit and Scratch Pay and encourage our clients to purchase pet health insurance so that everyone is prepared for those unexpected expenses. Our goal is to focus on the well-being of your pets. By adhering to this policy and exploring the financing options available, we can maintain our commitment to providing exceptional veterinary care.
