Laura Gerard is a Certified Veterinary Technician and has been a technician since 2003. As a child, Laura lived in rural Vermont, and her grandmother greatly influenced her love of animals. Tired of seeing stray and feral cats running amok, Laura’s grandmother used to negotiate with the local dairy farmers to trap, vaccinate, neuter and then release to help curb the kitten population at the farms. Laura helped her carry out the plan. Growing up, horses were her number one love. She was active in 4H and showing. In high school, Laura was active and nationally competitive in the Future Farmers of America club. In high school, Laura began working at a local small animal hospital, cleaning and assisting the vets with the cats and dogs of the practice. Laura eventually attended the University of New Hampshire in Durham. After her education there, she moved on to be a Veterinary Technician at the Humane Society in Nashua for six years. Laura served as Head Veterinary Technician at her previous hospital for ten years. Laura has a deep passion for helping her patients get the high quality care their owners have sought without harming the pet’s mental status. It is important to her to provide her clients with easy to understand information about their pets sometimes complicated medical issues. Laura loves to help her patients and their owners. She lives in Raymond with her husband and two children. They share their home with a naughty Shiba Inu, a Miniature American Shepherd and one grumpy cat. Laura also has a minor obsession with Harry Potter.

Alyssa has been with us since May 2019. She is currently a junior at the University of New Hampshire, studying biomedical science and Spanish. She spends most of her time studying since she has a dual-major, but she gets to participate in some incredible activities such as learning how to train a cow for a dairy competition. Alyssa is very dedicated to her role here as a Veterinary Exam Room Assistant and comes home to work every Saturday while the semester is in session.
